For Scottsdale and Paradise Valley shoppers looking for a luxury SUV packed with driver-assistance technology like Adaptive Cruise Control, the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover is the way to go. The new Range Rover is standard with Cruise Control & Speed Limiter which allows you to set a maximum cruising speed to help prevent speeding tickets, but the available Adaptive Cruise Control feature takes it to the next level. Find out how it works below, and browse our inventory at Land Rover North Scottsdale to find a Range Rover for sale with all the tech and safety you want!

How Does Adaptive Cruise Control Work?

  1. Adaptive Cruise Control uses sensors to detect slower-moving vehicles in front of you and observe their speed.
  2. When this feature is in use, it automatically adjusts your speed to keep a safe following distance from the vehicle in front of you.
  3. If the vehicle in front of you changes lanes or speeds ahead,  Range Rover Adaptive Cruise Control adjusts back to the speed originally set on cruise control until it detects another slower-moving vehicle in front of you.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go/Queue Assist

New Range Rover models that come with Adaptive Cruise Control are accompanied with Stop & Go (also called Queue Assist). See how this added technology works below:

  1. Stop & Go/Queue Assist is used for slow-moving heavy traffic.
  2. When the vehicle in front of you slows to a standstill, the system also brings your vehicle to a stop.
  3. When the vehicle in front of you moves forward again, gently tap the accelerator pedal and the system will move forward and maintain a safe following distance.
  4. The following distance can be adjusted on your steering wheel-mounted controls.

Which Range Rover Trims Have Adaptive Cruise Control?

The 2019 Range Rover comes in 5 different trim level options starting at $89,160 MSRP, and Adaptive Cruise Control is available with each. Get all the peace of mind you need in with Range Rover Adaptive Cruise Control in Cave Creek:

Can Adaptive Cruise Control Deactivate?

Range Rover Adaptive Cruise Control will be automatically deactivated if certain scenarios occur or certain Range Rover technology is engaged, but it can still keep the memory of its most recent settings. Reasons that the system might get deactivated while driving:

  • The CAN button on the steering wheel is pressed
  • The brake pedal is pressed.
  • All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) is selected.
  • Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) or Electronic Traction Control (ETC) activates.
  • The Electric Parking Brake (EPB) is applied.
  • Hill Descent Control (HDC) is selected.
  • When the speed limiter is in operation (when the pre-set speed limit has been reached).
